OPHELIA THE PIG GETS HER KISS!!

VVAPL Humane Society Public Relations Representative Terry Saenz made good on her promise to kiss Ophelia the Pig because she sold 200 tickets in 11 days.  Thank you Adelanto Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to participate in the High Desert Diva Contest.  Thank you again to everyone who purchased tickets and helped VVAPL Humane Society WIN $250, and of course, Ophelia to get her kiss.  We couldn’t have done it without YOU!

"PETS OF THE WEEK"

PEPSI

Pepsi is bubbly and sugary sweet like soda.  She’s a female 17 pound 2-year-old Terrier Mix.  This pretty girl will be your best friend.  She’s friendly and adores affection.  Start caressing her, and she’ll stay by your side.  You might even get a little kiss.  She’s also one smart cookie.  Pepsi sits on command and gently takes treats from your hand.  She likes to play and go for walks, but does need some leash training.  This cute canine is good with children, dogs and cats.  Come down and play with this happy girl.  You’ll see she’ll be the perfect fit for your family.

GENIE

Genie is a lump of love.  She’s a declawed female 13 pound 2-year-old Tortie Point.  Genie’s owner had health problems, so surrendered her to VVAPL.  This friendly girl adores affection.  She’ll sit on your lap while you stroke her soft fur and roll over for belly rubs.  Since she’s a bit overweight, Genie knows she needs to exercise every day.  That’s why playing is also a favorite activity.  Dangle a cat toy in front of her, and she’ll do her best to catch it.  Due to being declawed, Genie will need to be an inside only cat.  She is good with older children and cats, but is afraid of dogs.  Come down and meet this beauty.  One look into her beautiful blue eyes, and your heart will…say Yes, to the Cat.
